"Fun, but the rules feel inconsistent"
I do have fun using the site, but sometimes it feels like the rules are enforced differently depending on the situation. It can get frustrating, almost like you’re stuck trying to figure out what’s okay and what isn’t. I still enjoy it overall, but that inconsistency makes the experience feel a little trapped at times.

"Decent selection, but it feels limited"
They've got a decent mix of sports and leagues, so it’s not bad, but I keep wishing there was more variety. Like, some seasons are fine, then other times it just feels really limited depending on what you’re trying to play. I just keep running into the same issue where I want more options and they’re not really there. It’s okay overall, but yeah, the lack of variety gets a little frustrating

I used Chicagosocial to look up some events and leagues around Chicago. The site itself is easy to use, so no real complaints there, but the prices felt a little steep to me. If you’re going all the time, I can see how some of it might be worth it, but if you’re more casual like me, it adds up fast. I also hate spending a bunch of energy comparing options just to feel like I’m still overpaying. It’s not a bad site at all, just didn’t feel like the best value for what I needed.

"Just felt uncomfortable and worn out"
The whole experience felt awkward. The people there came off cold and cliquey, and after a while I just got tired of trying to make it feel welcoming. It was hard to relax or enjoy myself when everything felt like an effort

"Felt Like the League Wasn’t Really Balanced"
I joined the league expecting the teams to be somewhat evenly matched, but it really didn’t feel that way. A few teams were clearly stacked, while others seemed like total beginners, so a lot of the games ended up being blowouts instead of actually fun. I know it’s meant to be social and not super serious, but I still expected there to be some effort put into balancing skill levels. After that experience, I lost some trust in how it’s organized and wouldn’t sign up again.

The bad calls were happening all game and it was ridiculous. It completely ruined the experience for us and made it hard to even enjoy watching

"Support totally ghosted me"
I reached out to support and never heard a single thing back. Not even a basic reply. These clowns just left me hanging.

"Pretty reliable start times"
I’ve been to a bunch of these games, usually after grabbing coffee nearby because I’m always way too early, and they’ve started on time almost every time. There was only one small delay, but it wasn’t a big deal at all. Overall, smooth and dependable

"I signed up thinking they’d put me with..."
I signed up thinking they’d put me with a solid team, or at least one that made sense, but it felt kind of random. I ended up in a group where everyone seemed to already know each other, so I was sort of just there, and that whole thing made it hard to feel included.
I did email to ask about switching or getting some help with it, but the responses took a while and didn’t really fix anything. Maybe other people had a better experience with this, but for me it just didn’t feel worth the fee

"The parking situation was really frustrating…"
The parking situation was really frustrating and ended up costing more than I expected. Public transit didn’t make things much easier either, since I still had to walk farther than I thought I would. It kind of put me in a bad mood before the visit even started. I feel like an apology or at least some acknowledgment would be fair, because it wasn’t a great experience getting there

"Fun leagues, but watch out for the conditions"
I’ve played in a few leagues here, and the people are great and the games can be fun, but the fields and courts are really hit or miss. Some had bad lighting, uneven areas, and even puddles that made playing frustrating and kind of sketchy. Just a heads up if you’re thinking about signing up — it’s fun, but don’t expect perfect conditions.

"League Only Works When It Wants To"
I signed up for a season expecting it to be at least somewhat organized, but it felt like the whole league only works when it wants to. The schedule kept changing last minute, the refs seemed confused half the time, and getting an email response took forever. The teams weren’t balanced either, so a lot of the games felt like a waste. For the price, I expected way better. I’m definitely not signing up for another season

"Not the best experience"
I went in hoping it’d be a fun game, and it started out okay, but then the players got rude and it just kind of ruined the vibe. I thought the refs might step in, actually, at first I figured they were just letting things play out—but they really didn’t seem to care much.

"Matches Felt Way Too Uneven"
I really wanted to enjoy it, but the matches just felt way too uneven most of the time. Some games were so one-sided that it stopped being fun quickly. I did reach out to support hoping for some actual help or explanation, but the replies felt like copy-paste responses that didn’t really address what I was saying, which made it even more frustrating.

"Felt a Bit Like a Bait and Switch"
I looked into the cancellation and refund rules before booking, and it left a bad taste. It seemed fine at first, but once I read the details, it felt way stricter than expected, almost like a bait and switch. There’s not much flexibility if your plans change, which makes me hesitant to trust booking with them. I just wish they made all of that clearer up front.

"I tried using the Chicago Social app…"
I tried using the Chicago Social app on my phone, and it wasn’t the smoothest experience lol. Pages took a while to load, and it froze a couple times while I was browsing events. Logging in was annoying too, I had to reset my password twice even though I’m sure I had it right. The info on there is definitely useful, but the app itself needs some work. I ended up just using the browser instead

"Pretty useful for finding Chicago events"
I used Chicagosocial when I was trying to find a few things to do around the city. It loaded without any issues, and I could get to the main pages easily. Some parts felt a little crowded though, and I had to poke around more than I expected to find basic stuff like dates and event details. Nothing major, but it could definitely be cleaner. It worked fine on my phone too, so I’d probably use it again. Just not perfect, that’s all

"Accessibility info wasn’t clear"
Some of the venue pages didn’t really spell out accessibility details, which made planning more stressful than it needed to be. I kept thinking I could just check online, actually, I ended up having to call around myself to get answers.

"Long wait and careless injury response"
I wasn’t impressed. I had to wait in the queue for ages, which was already frustrating, and when it finally came to dealing with the injury, the response felt careless. It didn’t seem like anyone was in much of a hurry or really taking it seriously

"Okay communication, but kind of slow"
Communication was alright overall, but the reply times were hit or miss. Sometimes they got back to me just fine, and other times I was sitting around waiting on those slowpokes. Not a terrible experience, just a bit frustrating.
